Urabrask the Hidden

Urabrask the Hidden, appearing here in the Multiverse Legends subset of the 2023 set March of the Machine, represents one of the five Praetors of New Phyrexia. The character was originally introduced in the 2011 Scars of Mirrodin block, designed to embody a unique and somewhat paradoxical philosophy among the Phyrexian leadership. Unlike his counterparts who sought complete assimilation, Urabrask presided over the furnace layer, where he maintained a relative indifference toward the surviving Mirran resistance, leaving them to their own devices provided they did not interfere with his industrial pursuits.

This specific printing features the iconic Phyrexian showcase frame, an aesthetic style introduced to highlight the alien, biomechanical nature of the faction. The card illustrates Urabrask’s aggressive red-aligned mechanics, which grant haste to the controller's creatures while imposing a restrictive tapping effect on opponents' incoming threats. The design reflects the character's role as a force of sudden, overwhelming momentum, and the Multiverse Legends printing serves as a thematic tribute to his pivotal role in the long-running Phyrexian narrative arc.
