Vampiric Tutor // Vampiric Tutor

Vampiric Tutor was released as part of the Secrets of Strixhaven Art Series, a collection of cards introduced in the Strixhaven: School of Mages set in 2021. This specialized series was designed to showcase the high-fidelity artwork of various Magic: The Gathering cards in a borderless format, effectively turning the game's functional playing cards into collectible art prints. The series was produced to celebrate the aesthetic diversity of the game, providing players and collectors with an opportunity to view illustrations without the visual clutter of standard card frame elements.

The artwork for this specific piece features the signature dark, intricate style associated with the card's history, rendered through the lens of modern digital illustration techniques. The Art Series cards were distributed primarily within Set Boosters, intended as a bonus for enthusiasts of the game's expanding lore and artistic development. Upon its release, the series was well-received by the community for its focus on the creative contributions of individual illustrators, elevating the presentation of iconic card effects to a format reminiscent of gallery displays.
