Vanish into Memory

Vanish into Memory was released in 2006 as part of the Coldsnap expansion for Magic: The Gathering. This set was designed as a thematic successor to the Ice Age block from the mid-1990s, intended to evoke a harsh, wintry aesthetic that had remained absent from the game for a decade. The card itself functions as a unique blue-aligned removal spell that leverages the set's focus on temporary control and memory-based mechanics, reflecting the cold, disorienting nature of the plane of Dominaria during its magical ice age.

The artwork was created by illustrator Matt Cavotta, who was a prolific contributor to the game during this era.
