Wanderlight Spirit // Wanderlight Spirit

The Wanderlight Spirit card from the Crimson Vow Art Series was released in 2021 as part of the Magic: The Gathering expansion set Innistrad: Crimson Vow. The Art Series cards serve as high-quality, frame-less collectible representations of the game's creature and spell illustrations, designed specifically for enthusiasts and collectors to appreciate the visual artistry commissioned for the set. These cards are distinct from traditional gameplay cards, as they feature a matte finish on the front and detailed information about the artist on the back, functioning primarily as display pieces.

The illustration was created by artist Livia Prima, who has contributed extensively to the Magic: The Gathering aesthetic. The design reflects the gothic horror themes inherent to the Innistrad plane, capturing an ethereal, spectral figure with a focus on moody lighting and ghostly translucence. Upon its release, the card was well-received by collectors for its clean, oversized art presentation, which allows the intricate details of Prima’s digital painting style to stand out without the obstruction of game-text boxes.
