Where it came from
The RC05c card from the Unknown Event set represents a specific subset of promotional material designed for ephemeral tabletop or community gaming gatherings. It was produced to commemorate a series of localized meetups where organizers distributed unique, numbered character cards to participants as a way of fostering brand identity and rewarding community engagement during the event's limited lifespan.
The aesthetic of the card is typical of the design language used for late-cycle promotional materials, focusing on high-contrast illustrations and minimalist typography. While the original illustrator remains largely uncredited due to the decentralized nature of the event's production, the design was intentionally crafted to feel like a collectible artifact, prioritizing visual impact for collectors who valued the scarcity of the Unknown Event branding over traditional gameplay utility.
