Archiv Orientální: Journal of the Czechoslovak Oriental Institute, Prague

Archiv Orientální was founded in 1929 by the renowned scholar Bedřich Hrozný, who achieved international fame for deciphering the Hittite language. The journal was established as the primary scholarly publication of the Oriental Institute in Prague, intended to provide a rigorous platform for research into the languages, history, and cultures of the Near East, Africa, and Asia.
