Grashuis

This catalog was published in Leiden in the late 19th century, serving as a comprehensive inventory for an auction of scholarly collections. It documents the dispersal of the private libraries of Mr. C.P. Henny and other contributors, alongside a significant specialized collection focused on Oriental linguistics, geography, and ethnography previously held by the Dutch scholar Mr. G.J. Grashuis.

The publication functions as both a sales record and a bibliographical reference for colonial-era studies. Designed for academics, booksellers, and private collectors of the period, the catalog reflects the structured approach to archiving and valuing intellectual property common in the Dutch university publishing tradition of the time. It remains a valuable resource for provenance research into the movement of historical Southeast Asian and Orientalist texts within the Netherlands.
