Brons Middel Predikant te Meeuwen en anderen: de verkooping zal plaats hebben ... op Vrijdag, 8 December 1871 ... door en ten huize van J.L. Beijers, te Utrecht

This catalog was published in 1871 by the prominent Dutch book dealer and auctioneer J.L. Beijers in Utrecht. It documents a significant public auction of a private library assembled primarily by two Dutch Reformed clergymen, H.L. de Voogt of Haastrecht and N. Brons Middel of Meeuwen. These catalogs were designed as functional tools for nineteenth-century bibliophiles and institutions, providing structured lists of titles and sets to facilitate the dispersal of personal collections following the owners' deaths.

The publication represents a vital piece of the Dutch intellectual history of the mid-nineteenth century, capturing the reading habits and scholarly interests of the contemporary clergy. As an ephemeral document, it was never intended for widespread public circulation beyond potential bidders and collectors of the era. Its survival in institutional archives offers researchers a window into the valuation and circulation of historical texts within the specific cultural climate of the Netherlands in the 1870s.
