Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Vol. 17 (light novel)

Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody began as a web novel serialized on the Japanese platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2013 before being picked up for print publication by Kadokawa. Written by Hiro Ainana and illustrated by the artist known as Shri, the series follows the journey of a programmer who finds himself transported into a fantasy world that reflects the mechanics of the games he was developing. The light novel series has since become a staple of the isekai genre, known for its focus on world-building, culinary exploration, and a relatively low-stakes approach to adventure compared to its contemporaries.

Volume 17 serves as a continuation of the overarching narrative, maintaining the distinct visual style established by Shri, whose character designs are central to the series' aesthetic appeal. The English-language release is published by Yen Press, which has been responsible for translating and distributing the series to an international audience. Like the preceding volumes, this installment adheres to the established light novel format, balancing narrative progression with the character dynamics that have sustained the series' popularity among readers of Japanese fantasy literature.
