Jack Jeanne: Parsley

Jack Jeanne is a multimedia project centered around the prestigious Univeil Drama School, an all-male institution where students perform both male and female roles. Created by Ishida Sui, the visionary behind Tokyo Ghoul, the project originated as a Nintendo Switch rhythm-adventure game before expanding into manga adaptations and character song albums. The Parsley volumes serve as art-focused compilations that highlight the aesthetic evolution of the characters and their theatrical performances within this gender-bending competitive setting.

The visual identity of the collection reflects Ishida Sui’s signature style, characterized by expressive line work, vibrant color palettes, and a deep focus on character anatomy and costuming. These volumes were produced to capture the intense emotional resonance of the Univeil student experience, bridging the gap between dramatic narrative and artistic appreciation. Upon release, the series was well-received by fans of visual novels and character-driven drama for its intricate world-building and the seamless blend of traditional illustration with theatrical themes.
