Jahresbericht des K.K. Staats-Gymnasiums zu Freistadt in Oberösterreich: für das Schuljahr ...

These annual reports, or Jahresberichte, were published by the K.K. Staats-Gymnasium in Freistadt, Upper Austria, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Produced as an administrative requirement for the Austro-Hungarian imperial educational system, each volume functioned as a formal record of the school's activities, documenting faculty appointments, student enrollment lists, and curriculum changes for the preceding academic year.

Beyond their bureaucratic purpose, these volumes served as a vehicle for intellectual dissemination, often featuring scholarly essays or research papers written by the faculty on philological, historical, or scientific topics. They reflect the rigid academic rigor of the era's classical education model, preserving a detailed snapshot of pedagogical life in a provincial Austrian gymnasium before the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy.
