Created by Tony Wong, the series emerged during a period when the local comic industry was shifting toward themes of urban martial arts, gang dynamics, and hyper-masculine heroism. It is celebrated for pioneering a unique aesthetic that blended traditional Chinese painting techniques with the kinetic energy and panel layouts characteristic of Western comics.
