Where it came from
Jinx ui Yeonin, known in English as Jinxed at First, originated as a serialized webtoon written by Han Ji-hye and illustrated by Goo Seul. Debuting on the KakaoPage platform, the work gained significant traction for its unique blend of fantasy and romance, centering on a man who accepts his unlucky fate and a woman who possesses the power to see the future of those she touches.
The narrative's transition into print volumes followed its success as a digital serial, capturing the intricate character dynamics and the distinct, soft-hued artistic style that characterizes the series. The aesthetic, designed to emphasize the emotional vulnerability of the protagonists, was well-received by audiences, leading to its adaptation into a television drama which further expanded the visibility of the original source material.
