ONE PIECE STRONG WORLD

One Piece Strong World was released in 2009 as the tenth feature film in the long-running One Piece franchise. Unlike previous cinematic entries, this film was notable for being the first to have its screenplay and creative vision overseen directly by series creator Eiichiro Oda. The film was developed to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the anime series, with Oda crafting the antagonist, Shiki the Golden Lion, to bridge the gap between the film's narrative and the established history of the manga's world.

The film's visual identity reflects Oda's hands-on approach, as he designed the distinct costumes for the Straw Hat Pirates and the lush, dangerous island setting of Merveille. Upon its release, the film was received with significant enthusiasm by the fanbase, driven largely by the author's personal involvement, which lent the project a sense of canonical weight often missing from spin-off material. It remains a hallmark of the series' transition into blockbuster film production.
