Where it came from
The Witcher Omnibus, published by Dark Horse Comics in 2019, serves as a comprehensive collection of the initial graphic novel series based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s acclaimed fantasy franchise. It was curated to gather the stories 'House of Glass', 'Fox Children', and 'Of Flesh and Flame' into a single, cohesive volume, reflecting the growing demand for expanded Witcher lore beyond the original novels and the popular video game adaptations.
The interior art and writing were led by Paul Tobin, working in close collaboration with artists like Joe Querio, Piotr Kowalski, and Max Bertolini to maintain a tone consistent with the source material's dark, gritty atmosphere. The collection was designed as a prestige-format entry point for new readers, receiving general praise from fans for how faithfully the visual storytelling translated the cynical, monster-hunting aesthetic of Geralt of Rivia into a comic book medium.
