Apis

The Apis card (OP04-041) was released as part of the Kingdoms of Intrigue pre-release event for the One Piece Card Game, which launched its fourth booster set in mid-2023. These promotional cards were distributed to participants at sanctioned local game stores to generate excitement and engagement ahead of the official set launch. The inclusion of Apis, a character originally introduced in the Warship Island arc of the anime, reflects the game's strategy of integrating both manga-canon figures and anime-exclusive characters into the competitive landscape.

The design of this card follows the established visual language of the One Piece Card Game, featuring the character art isolated against a thematic background that emphasizes the game's bold, high-contrast aesthetic. These cards are distinguished from their standard counterparts by a specific pre-release stamp, marking them as unique artifacts for collectors and players who participated in the early stages of the set's cycle. The reception of these cards is largely driven by their scarcity and the functional utility they provide to players utilizing the specific colors and deck archetypes introduced in the Kingdoms of Intrigue set.
