Ipponmatsu

Ipponmatsu, a character featured in the One Piece Card Game as part of the Kingdoms of Intrigue set, originates from the long-running manga and anime series created by Eiichiro Oda. In the source material, Ipponmatsu is the shopkeeper of a sword store in Loguetown who initially underestimates Roronoa Zoro but is eventually impressed by his character and skill, resulting in Zoro acquiring the Kitetsu III and Yubashiri swords. This card captures that narrative moment within the context of the Alabasta and Loguetown saga arcs explored in the OP04 expansion.

The card design serves as a support unit within the Blue color scheme of the game, reflecting the tactical nature of the Loguetown characters. As with other cards in the Kingdom of Intrigue set, the artwork is sourced from official series illustrations, emphasizing the game's commitment to maintaining visual consistency with Oda’s established aesthetic. While common in rarity, the card is frequently utilized by players looking to optimize deck synergies that rely on specific character traits found in the East Blue saga.
