Buggy

This card was released as part of the Wings of the Captain [OP06] expansion for the One Piece Card Game. It represents the character Buggy the Clown, drawing inspiration from his established role as a persistent antagonist and eventual Warlord within the franchise. The card design utilizes dynamic, official Eiichiro Oda-style artwork intended to capture Buggy's flamboyant and opportunistic personality, aligning with the strategic deck-building mechanics introduced in the early years of the game's global distribution.

The card was produced by Bandai as part of the third major set cycle to bolster red-aligned character rosters. It was designed to function within specific tribal synergy archetypes, emphasizing Buggy’s penchant for self-preservation and leadership of his pirate crew. Upon release, the card was received by the player base as a utility piece, valued for its consistency in searching the deck for specific traits, reflecting the game designers' focus on balancing flavor-accurate mechanics with competitive card game utility.
