Buggy

The Buggy card from the Legacy of the Master Release Event (OP12-012) was released as part of the promotional support for the One Piece Card Game's twelfth organized play cycle. These event cards are distributed specifically to participants of tournament-style release events, serving as a commemorative token that marks the arrival of new sets in the competitive meta. The card design utilizes the familiar aesthetic established by the game’s primary artists, focusing on character-specific abilities that integrate into existing deck archetypes while offering a unique visual variant for collectors.

The design of this iteration draws from Buggy the Clown’s appearance in the series, emphasizing his role as a recurring antagonist and fan-favorite character. As a Character card, it adheres to the standardized layout of the One Piece Card Game, featuring the high-contrast artwork and foil treatments typically reserved for event promos. Upon release, it was received primarily as a utility piece for players looking to bolster specific deck strategies, while its status as a limited release event card solidified its position as a desirable item for players who prioritize set completion and thematic character collections.
