Chadros.Higelyges (Brownbeard)

The Chadros Higelyges (Brownbeard) card was released as part of the ROYAL BLOOD [OP-10] expansion for the One Piece Card Game. This set focuses on thematic narrative arcs within the series, specifically highlighting characters associated with shifting political power and loyalties. As a character card, Brownbeard reflects his role as a recurring antagonist and pirate captain within the Fish-Man Island arc, emphasizing his design as a centaur-like figure following his illicit modification with mechanical parts.

The illustration was commissioned to maintain visual consistency with the established anime aesthetic while integrating the mechanical game-play mechanics of the OP-10 set. By featuring characters like Brownbeard, the designers aimed to provide players with specific niche synergies for deck building, balancing his narrative presence as a subordinate with his functional utility in combat-focused card archetypes. The card was met with interest from players focused on completing character-specific rosters within the set.
