Chadros.Higelyges (Brownbeard)

Chadros Higelyges, known to collectors by the epithet Brownbeard, was released as part of the Royal Blood expansion set for the One Piece Card Game. This set was designed to introduce deeper tactical layers to the character-driven meta, focusing on archetypes that prioritize board presence and color-specific synergies. Like many cards in the OP10 series, this character serves as a mid-range utility piece, reflecting the broader design philosophy of the game which emphasizes thematic accuracy to the source material's character hierarchy.

The card’s illustration was crafted to mirror the gritty, seafaring aesthetic of the Royal Blood set. Designers aimed to emphasize the character’s rugged appearance through heavy shading and textured linework, placing him within the visual canon of the game’s late-era expansions. Upon its release, the card was received as a functional, if niche, addition to the competitive pool, appreciated primarily by players building flavor-specific decks or those seeking consistent, low-cost character anchors.
