Smiley

The Smiley card, designated OP10-009, is a character card from the -ROYAL BLOOD- expansion set, the tenth major booster release for the One Piece Card Game. Released as part of the series' ongoing efforts to integrate characters from the Punk Hazard arc, the card features the sentient, toxic slime creation serving as a lieutenant to Caesar Clown. Its inclusion reflects the game's focus on diversifying the tactical utility of cards representing minor yet visually distinct antagonists within the franchise lore.

The design of the card emphasizes the grotesque and volatile aesthetic of Smiley, capturing the character’s amorphous, blob-like form and menacing presence. Illustrators for the set prioritize the vibrant, high-contrast visual language typical of the One Piece trading card line, aiming to make character cards distinct during gameplay. Upon release, the card was received by the player community as a niche tactical piece, appreciated for its thematic accuracy to the source material rather than as a primary centerpiece of competitive meta-decks.
