Provenance

Where it came from

Released in December 2022 as part of the Romance Dawn expansion for the One Piece Card Game, the Crocodile leader card (OP01-062) represents the first entry in the game's inaugural set. This set was designed to introduce the core mechanics of the franchise, drawing directly from the early narrative arcs of the manga and anime. The Crocodile leader specifically anchors the Blue color deck, focusing on hand management and the removal of cost-specific character cards, reflecting the calculated and manipulative nature of the character within the Alabasta saga.

The parallel art version of this card features unique, alternate foil treatments and character illustrations that deviate from the standard edition. These parallel variants were introduced by Bandai to provide aesthetic prestige for collectors, often showcasing more dynamic or illustrative artistic styles than the base set. Upon its release, the card became a cornerstone of the competitive metagame, recognized by players for its tactical efficiency and by collectors for its iconic status as one of the game's foundational leader cards.
