Enel

The Enel character card (OP10-025) was released as part of the -ROYAL BLOOD- [OP-10] set for the One Piece Card Game. This set was designed to explore pivotal figures and factions from the series' lore, with Enel, the self-proclaimed god of Skypiea, serving as a high-value character card. The design emphasizes his formidable 'Goro Goro no Mi' lightning abilities, rendered in a visual style consistent with the game’s effort to balance tactical utility with high-fidelity, dramatic illustrations that capture the character's intimidating presence during the Skypiea arc.

The illustration team for this set aimed to evoke the ethereal and destructive nature of Enel’s electrical powers, utilizing a distinct color palette to differentiate him from other leader and character cards in the meta. As with other cards in the OP-10 expansion, the reception has been centered on his specific synergy within the game's mechanics, particularly for players utilizing control-oriented strategies. The card has been well-regarded by collectors for its aesthetic fidelity to Eiichiro Oda’s source material and its role in reinforcing the mechanical diversity of the -ROYAL BLOOD- set.
