Provenance

Where it came from

The card titled I Think He's Seen an Ugly Future... was released as part of the World's Strongest Warriors expansion for the Dragon Ball Super Card Game. It served as a promotional event card intended to bolster the competitive landscape by introducing specific utility effects tailored to the meta-game developments of that release cycle. The design was crafted to reflect the thematic intensity of the Dragon Ball Z film 'The World's Strongest,' focusing on the narrative tension between the heroes and the antagonist Dr. Wheelo.

The artwork follows the established house style of the Dragon Ball Super Card Game, which leans heavily into high-contrast digital illustrations that mimic the animation cells of the original series. The card was designed to support aggressive strategies, and upon its release, it was received as a functional tool for players looking to manipulate the board state. It remains a notable piece for collectors focusing on event-specific releases rather than standard booster sets.
