Where it came from
The Issho card from the One Piece Card Game's Welcome Pack Vol. 1 was released to help introduce new players to the game during the launch period of the fifth expansion, Awakening of the New Era. These promotional packs were designed to be given away at official Bandai events and local game store gatherings, serving as an entry point for those interested in the mechanics of the game's evolving meta.
The card features Issho, also known as Admiral Fujitora, reflecting the character's signature gravity-based combat style as depicted in the One Piece series. The illustration captures his stoic, blindfolded demeanor, consistent with the art direction established by the game’s designers at Bandai to maintain aesthetic fidelity to Eiichiro Oda’s original manga designs. It was received as a functional, tactical addition to the green deck archetype, valued by players for its utility in strategic board control.
