Where it came from
Released as part of the Two Legends set for the One Piece Card Game, this card specifically originates from the OP08 Pre-Release event cycle. The design draws directly from the iconic scene in the Jaya Arc where Marshall D. Teach delivers his impassioned monologue about the persistence of human dreams. As an Event card, it serves to mechanically represent the themes of conviction and ambition central to the franchise's narrative.
The card’s aesthetic and illustrative direction align with the broader visual language of the series' modern card game adaptation, emphasizing high-fidelity art taken from Eiichiro Oda's original manga panels. It was received by the player base as a significant thematic collectible, prized for capturing one of the most pivotal and philosophical moments in the series' history while serving as a functional tool within the game's competitive meta.
