Portgas.D.Ace

The Portgas D. Ace character card, designated OP02-013, was originally released as part of the Paramount War expansion set for the One Piece Card Game. Introduced in late 2022, this set focused on the pivotal Marineford arc of the series, a narrative turning point that deeply impacted the development of the main protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy. The card serves as a thematic representation of Ace's role in the series' overarching lore, capturing his fiery abilities and his status as a central figure in the struggle between the Whitebeard Pirates and the World Government.

The card's design features distinct artwork that aligns with the established aesthetic of the One Piece Card Game, which draws heavily from Eiichiro Oda's original manga illustrations. By utilizing dynamic line work and color palettes reflective of Ace's Mera Mera no Mi devil fruit powers, the card aims to evoke the intensity of his combat style. Upon its debut, the card was received favorably by players and collectors, noted for its utility in red-themed decks and its ability to represent the high-stakes narrative tension associated with the Marineford conflict.
