Sakazuki

Sakazuki, better known by his alias Akainu, was introduced in the One Piece Trading Card Game as part of the fourth booster set, Kingdoms of Intrigue (OP04), though this specific card carries the set code OP02-099 from the Paramount War expansion. The design features the character in his role as a Marine Admiral, characterized by his Magu Magu no Mi powers which allow him to manifest and control magma. The card art captures his menacing presence and cold, unwavering dedication to 'Absolute Justice,' a central thematic pillar of the Marines in the source material.

The card was designed by the TCG development team at Bandai to function as a powerful control piece within the game's meta. It reflects the character's tactical ruthlessness, allowing players to manipulate the board state by reducing the power of opposing characters. Upon its release, it became a staple in competitive decks, drawing praise from players for its efficiency and its thematic accuracy to the character's intimidating and destructive nature in the One Piece anime and manga series.
