Sanji

The Sanji card, designated OP04-007, was released in 2023 as part of the Kingdoms of Intrigue expansion for the One Piece Card Game. This set was designed to focus on the Alabasta and Dressrosa story arcs, bringing key characters from these chapters into the competitive meta. The card depicts Sanji in his signature style, fitting into the red color identity established in the game for the Straw Hat Pirates, and was intended to provide players with a functional character card that reflects his role as the crew's chef and formidable combatant.

The design of the card leans into the high-energy aesthetic prevalent throughout the One Piece trading card series, utilizing vivid character artwork consistent with Eiichiro Oda’s source material. As a member of the Super Rare or lower-tier character pool within the set, its design priority was centered on game balance and deck synergy rather than high-end rarity chase mechanics. Upon release, it was well-received by fans of the series and players looking to build coherent red-themed decks, serving as a reliable utility card within the Kingdom of Intrigue expansion ecosystem.
