Sanji

The Sanji card, designated OP01-013, was released in 2022 as part of the Romance Dawn expansion, the inaugural set of the One Piece Card Game. This release marked the franchise's entry into the competitive trading card market, aiming to translate the expansive narrative and iconic character designs of Eiichiro Oda's long-running manga into a tactical tabletop experience. The design focuses on the character's signature poise and culinary-themed combat style, serving as a foundational piece for players building Red-aligned decks.

The card features artwork commissioned to reflect the aesthetic established in the source material, emphasizing the dynamic, high-energy visual language that characterizes the One Piece aesthetic. By centering on Sanji, a core member of the Straw Hat Pirates, the card was intended to provide fans with a recognizable anchor point in the game's initial mechanical framework. It was received as a staple early-game card, noted for its utility in strategic setups and its role in establishing the visual identity of the game's earliest sets.
