Sphinx

The Sphinx card from the Paramount War set (OP02-088) was released in 2023 as part of the second major expansion for the One Piece Card Game. This set focuses on the Marineford arc of the series, a pivotal narrative moment where the Whitebeard Pirates attempt to rescue Portgas D. Ace from execution. The card represents the creature guarding the levels of Impel Down, reflecting the game's commitment to adapting the expansive roster of characters found throughout Eiichiro Oda's manga.

The design of the card emphasizes the imposing, mythological nature of the Sphinx as it appeared during the Impel Down arc. Like many cards in the Paramount War set, the illustration was created to align with the game's aesthetic of dynamic, high-contrast character art meant for competitive play. It was received by players primarily as a common-tier utility card, valued more for its functional role within the Blue-colored deck strategies than for its rarity or secondary market prestige.
