Tokikake

Tokikake, also known by his epithet Gion, was released as part of the Wings of the Captain [OP06] expansion for the One Piece Card Game in late 2023. As a high-ranking Marine Admiral candidate, the character was originally introduced in the series as a figure of significant authority within the World Government. The card was designed to integrate into the game's evolving meta, emphasizing the strategic, control-oriented mechanics often associated with the Navy faction in the tabletop card game.

The illustration maintains the visual consistency established by the One Piece intellectual property, focusing on the character's signature poise and formal attire. Like many cards within the OP06 set, the artwork aims to capture the disciplined aesthetic of the Marine higher-ups. It was received by players as a functional utility card, valued primarily for its ability to manipulate the cost of opposing characters, reflecting the character's role as a formidable tactical adversary in the source material.
