Vergo

Vergo, represented here as card OP03-079, debuted within the Pillars of Strength [OP-03] expansion of the One Piece Card Game. The card features Vergo in his role as a high-ranking officer of the Donquixote Pirates and a former vice-admiral of the Marines, capturing his intimidating presence and his signature Armament Haki combat style. This set was designed to expand the competitive viability of several core factions, integrating characters from the Dressrosa arc into the game's evolving meta.

The card's design emphasizes the character's dual nature as both a disciplined marine and a brutal pirate operative. The art captures the grim, hardened aesthetic associated with the character's design in the original manga and anime series. Upon release, the card was received as a functional tool for decks centered around the Donquixote Pirates archetype, valued by players for its ability to provide steady board presence during mid-game exchanges.
