Vergo

Vergo (OP03-079) was released in 2023 as part of the Pillars of Strength set for the One Piece Card Game. The card depicts the character Vergo, a high-ranking officer of the Donquixote Pirates, during his tenure as a vice-admiral in the Marines. The card design utilizes the set's signature aesthetic to highlight the character's intimidating presence and his reliance on Armament Haki, aligning with the strategic gameplay focus on the Dressrosa and Navy archetypes prevalent in the third expansion.

The card was produced by Bandai to integrate key antagonists from the Punk Hazard arc into the competitive card pool. Its illustration focuses on the character's dual identity as a double agent, maintaining a stern and tactical presentation that characterizes the game's shift toward high-impact character cards. It was received by the player community as a staple utility card within Black-color decks, noted for its effectiveness in managing the board state through its specific cost-reduction ability.
