Yosaku & Johnny

Yosaku and Johnny first appeared in Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga series One Piece as bounty hunters and former associates of Roronoa Zoro. They were introduced during the Baratie Arc, serving as comedic relief and companions to the Straw Hat Pirates during the conflict with the Don Krieg Pirates. Their design reflects Oda’s penchant for exaggerated, rough-around-the-edges characters who contrast with the more polished protagonists of the series.

This specific card, numbered OP03-053, was released in the OP03 Pillars of Strength set for the One Piece Card Game. The card features artwork depicting the duo in their signature battle attire, consistent with the game’s goal of bringing legacy manga moments into a competitive tabletop format. Upon its release, it became a common fixture in Green-colored decks, valued primarily for its tactical utility and ability to search for specific character types within the game’s evolving meta.
