What it does
After your opponent plays a Supporter card from his or her hand, put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokémon. You can't use more than 1 Jamming Poké-Body each turn.
You may discard all Lightning Energy attached to Ampharos. If you do, this attack does 20 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has any Energy cards attached to it. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
The tip of its tail shines brightly. In the olden days, people sent signals using the tail's light.

Where it came from
The Ampharos card from the Secret Wonders expansion was released in late 2007 as part of the Diamond & Pearl series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This set was notable for introducing cards that interacted with the game's mechanics in new ways, specifically focusing on the theme of 'Secret Wonders' or mysterious Pokémon powers. Ampharos, a fan-favorite Electric-type Pokémon, was featured here as a Holo Rare, showcasing the signature galaxy-style foil pattern utilized by the TCG during this era of production.
The artwork for this specific card was commissioned by illustrator Daisuke Ito, whose work frequently appeared in the Diamond & Pearl era. Ito's design choice highlights a static, powerful stance for Ampharos, emphasizing its role as a lighthouse Pokémon through the clean, energetic aesthetic consistent with the set's artistic direction. Upon its release, the card was well-received by players for its 'Conductivity' Poké-Power, which allowed for efficient energy acceleration, making it a staple in competitive decks throughout the 2007-2008 tournament season.
