What it does
When you play Arcanine from your hand to evolve your Active Pokémon, you may flip 3 coins. For each heads, choose a basic Energy card from your discard pile and attach it to Arcanine.
Your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon, if any.

Where it came from
Released in May 2003 as part of the Skyridge expansion, this card represents one of the final sets produced by Wizards of the Coast for the Pokémon Trading Card Game before the license transitioned to The Pokémon Company. The set was designed to integrate with the Nintendo Game Boy Advance games Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire through the use of the E-Reader peripheral, which allowed players to scan dot-code strips on the cards to unlock Pokédex data and mini-games.
The artwork for this Arcanine was illustrated by Ken Sugimori, the primary character designer for the Pokémon franchise. In keeping with the Skyridge aesthetic, the card features the distinct E-Series frame, which pushed the card borders to the edges to maximize art space. It remains a sought-after piece for collectors due to its iconic status in the original generation of Pokémon and the historical significance of the E-Reader era.
