Beldum

The Beldum card, numbered 47/98, was released in the Ancient Origins expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which debuted in August 2015. As a set, Ancient Origins focused on the introduction of the Hoopa-EX and the expansion of Ancient Traits, bringing a collection of cards that bridged the gap between the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire video games and the tabletop experience. The design of this specific card features the steel-type Pokémon in a standard pose, consistent with the set's role in providing common utility cards to support the competitive environment of that era.

The card was illustrated by match, a long-time contributor to the Pokémon TCG whose work is known for clean, digital-style renderings that prioritize clarity and functional design. Within the competitive landscape of 2015, this Beldum served as a foundational piece for players looking to evolve into Metang and Metagross, filling a necessary role in the set's distribution. Like many common cards from the mid-XY series era, it was received as a straightforward, accessible entry point for players and collectors aiming to complete the full expansion set.
