Where it came from
Eri first appeared in the Pokémon Trading Card Game as part of the Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces expansion, released in early 2024. This set draws inspiration from the Paradox Pokémon introduced in the Scarlet and Violet video games, focusing on ancient and future-themed creatures. As a Supporter card, Eri is designed to disrupt an opponent's hand, reflecting her character role as a member of Team Star in the base games, where she serves as the boss of the Fighting-type crew.
The card features an illustration by Megumi Mizutani, a longtime contributor to the Pokémon TCG known for her clean, expressive character work. This Ultra Rare variant showcases Eri in a stylized, full-art format that emphasizes her edgy, punk-inspired aesthetic. Within the competitive community, the card is recognized for its strategic utility in discarding Item cards, making it a functional addition to many decks while remaining a sought-after piece for character collectors.
