Where it came from
Eri was introduced as a Special Illustration Rare in the 2024 Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces expansion. This card features the character Eri, a member of Team Star’s Fighting Crew, and is part of the broader focus on the Paldea region’s colorful cast of antagonists. The set was designed to integrate powerful ancient and future-themed mechanics while highlighting key trainers from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games.
The card’s illustration was created by artist kirisAki, known for a vibrant, character-focused style that emphasizes the personality of the subject. By depicting Eri in her signature punk-inspired attire, the design captures the rebellious yet supportive spirit of Team Star. Upon its release, the card was well-received by collectors for its high-quality foil treatment and the detailed, expressive artwork that defines the Special Illustration Rare tier.
