Greninja ex

The Greninja ex card, designated as number 054 within the Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos series, was released as part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's transition into the ninth generation of core games. This specific promotional card was primarily distributed through the Greninja ex Battle Deck, a product designed to provide players with a ready-to-play strategy focused on the Water-type ninja Pokémon. It serves as an accessible entry point for new collectors and players to engage with the 'ex' mechanic, which highlights powerful versions of Pokémon with expanded HP and distinct attack patterns.

The design of the card, featuring the agile and thematic Greninja, follows the aesthetic direction of the Scarlet & Violet era, which emphasizes clean borders and dynamic, high-energy illustrations that often break the frame of the card art window. While specific design credits for individual promotional cards are rarely attributed to single illustrators, the artwork maintains the modern standard of digital rendering that has come to define the current era of the hobby. It was received by the community as a staple card for early-game competitive play and remains a favored piece for those seeking to complete the comprehensive Black Star Promo collection.
