What it does
During your next turn, treat any tails flipped when using Magnemite's Electric Bolt attack as if they were heads. (Benching or evolving either Pokémon ends this effect.)
Flip 2 coins. If both are heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. If either of them is tails, this attack does nothing (not even damage).
These Pokémon are attracted to electrical emissions and will often follow people using PokéGear.

Where it came from
Released in the year 2000 as part of the Neo Discovery expansion, this card represents the introduction of the Generation II Pokémon from the Johto region to the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Following the immense success of the Base Set and the Jungle and Fossil expansions, the Neo Discovery set was developed to incorporate new game mechanics and regional variants, marking a pivotal transition in the hobby's early history.
The artwork was illustrated by Hironobu Yoshida, a long-time contributor to the Pokémon TCG aesthetic. Yoshida opted for a clean, digital style that emphasizes the mechanical, floating nature of Magnemite, contrasting with the more watercolor-heavy designs found in earlier expansions.
