Provenance

Where it came from

The Malamar card from the Hidden Fates Shiny Vault was released in 2019 as part of a high-profile expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This set was notable for its inclusion of the 'Shiny Vault' subset, which showcased alternate color variants of popular Pokémon, catering to collectors who valued the aesthetic rarity of the cards.

The card features the signature illustration style associated with the set, focusing on the distinct, inverted color palette of Shiny Malamar. Designed to stand out in a collection, the card incorporates the holographic 'Shiny' foiling that defined this particular release, marking it as a sought-after piece within the broader Sun & Moon series cycle.
