What it does
Look at your opponent's hand and choose a Basic Pokémon or Evolution card you find there. Choose 1 of that Pokémon's attacks. Skill Hack copies that attack except for its Energy cost. (You must still do anything else required for that attack.) (No matter what type that Pokémon is, Shiftry ex's type is still Darkness.) Shiftry ex performs that attack.
Does 60 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has the same name as the Defending Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Where it came from
Shiftry ex was released in 2007 as part of the EX Power Keepers expansion, the final set of the EX Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The set focused on the legendary Pokémon from the Hoenn region and served as a bridge before the transition to the Diamond & Pearl era. Like other Pokémon-ex cards of this period, Shiftry ex was designed with high health points and powerful attack mechanics, reflecting the power creep that characterized the late EX Series competitive environment.
The card features an illustration by Mitsuhiro Arita, one of the most prolific and iconic artists in the history of the franchise. Arita utilized a distinct, energetic style that emphasizes the darker typing of the Pokémon, framing Shiftry in a dynamic pose that highlights its fan-like hands and stoic expression. Upon release, the card was regarded by players as a valuable addition to dark-type decks due to its ability to manipulate energy and maintain board pressure, securing its status as a sought-after collectible for fans of the EX era.
