Bad Boys (Ben Snow & Jappa Remix) / Bam Bam (Benny Page & Deekline Remix)

Released in 2020 on the Jungle Cakes label, this 12-inch single represents a high-energy convergence of classic reggae-infused dancehall and contemporary jungle production. The record features remixes of two quintessential tracks—Inner Circle's Bad Boys and Sister Nancy's Bam Bam—reimagined by label heads DJ Deekline and Ed Solo alongside collaborators Ben Snow and Benny Page. The project was conceived as a floor-filling celebration of the soundsystem culture that defines the Jungle Cakes imprint, aiming to bridge the gap between heritage reggae samples and the aggressive, bass-heavy aesthetic of modern UK drum and bass.

The design and curation of the release highlight the label's commitment to maintaining the legacy of rave-ready jungle remixes while updating them for a new generation of festival audiences. By enlisting producers like Benny Page and Ben Snow, Deekline and Ed Solo ensured the record retained its rhythmic heritage while utilizing current sound design techniques. Upon release, the record was well-received within the underground drum and bass community, becoming a staple in festival sets for its ability to blend nostalgic vocal hooks with high-octane, tech-driven breakbeats.
