Where it came from
Released in 1972 on the RCA Victor label, this 45-RPM single features Juan Eduardo, a singer-songwriter who rose to prominence within the Latin pop music scene during the early 1970s. The record serves as a snapshot of the romantic ballad style prevalent in South American radio during that era, characterized by lush arrangements and emotive vocal delivery intended for mass-market appeal.
The tracks 'Eran Dos Locos De Amor' and 'Que Me Quieras Quiero' reflect the songwriting sensibilities of the period, which often emphasized melodramatic storytelling and sentimental themes. As a product of RCA Victor's regional Latin division, the release was designed to fit into the broader landscape of contemporary pop music, utilizing standard production values to capture the interest of listeners seeking accessible, radio-friendly love songs.
