Where it came from
Full Circle is a collaborative project featuring the pioneering bassist Jah Wobble, former Can drummer Jaki Liebezeit, and experimental multi-instrumentalist Holger Czukay. Initially released in 1982, the album represents a unique intersection of the London post-punk scene and the German krautrock tradition, capturing the trio during a creative period where they explored dub-inflected textures and rhythmic, hypnotic electronic soundscapes.
The album is noted for its spontaneous, improvisational approach, characteristic of the members' respective histories in Public Image Ltd and Can. The original Japanese pressing on Trio Records, catalog number AW-25026, is particularly sought after by enthusiasts of avant-garde music for its distinct production quality. It serves as a vital document of the cross-pollination between experimental European musicians who were pushing the boundaries of rhythm and atmospheric composition in the early 1980s.
