Where it came from
Released in 2021, Geinitz & Friends represents an experimental musical project by artist Holger Geinitz. Issued as a private press record without a formal label affiliation or traditional catalog identifier, the release serves as an example of independent, self-distributed music production that prioritizes personal creative output over commercial distribution channels.
The design and conceptual framework of this release reflect Geinitz's interest in minimalist aesthetic choices and the intimacy of self-curated media. As a non-commercial artifact, it occupies a niche space in contemporary independent music, documenting a specific moment of the artist's creative process while bypassing the institutional gatekeeping often found in the broader record industry.
