Where it came from
Released in 1983 on the independent Noazart Records label, this soundtrack accompanies the television special In Search Of The Wow Wow Wibble Woggle Wazzie Woodle Woo!. The project was spearheaded by Tim Noah, an American children's performer and musician who gained prominence in the Pacific Northwest for his work with public television. The record reflects the whimsical, educational, and high-energy aesthetic of early 1980s children's programming, aimed at engaging young audiences through theatrical storytelling and melodic, synth-inflected arrangements.
The album serves as a singular artifact of Noah's independent production efforts, showcasing his commitment to DIY educational media. As a designer and creator, Noah utilized the record to extend the reach of his stage and television presence, emphasizing themes of discovery and imagination. While the television special and its soundtrack were niche productions, they are remembered for their idiosyncratic title and the earnest, performance-heavy style that characterized Noah’s career during the late twentieth century.
